Ps 27; 56; Mt 10:26-33. Dan Kroon. We began this series last Sunday by remembering that God is great; which means we don’t have to be in control; which means he can help us turn from sin and trust in him. This week it’s about how God is glorious; which means we don’t have to be controlled. Meaning, we don’t have to be controlled by our fear of others or our search for approval. Next to the glory, splendour, majesty and radiance of God, everyone and everything fades in significance. None can compare to our matchless God. That reality is why we are urged throughout Scripture to 'fear the Lord' and not man, because he is superior and supreme. He is glorious.
